Reporter Food: Thai Grains Salad at Beverly Hills Grill

Reporter Food: Thai Grains Salad at Beverly Hills Grill

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Jan. 12, 2019)

Beverly Hills, MI- It was a delight to have lunch with reporter Jack Lessenberry and his wife Elizabeth at the lovely Beverly Hills Grill recently.  Being able to talk about journalism with other journalists is just about the next most exciting thing to doing journalism itself.  So it was nice.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and so is the food.  The menu had many good choices including salmon burger, oven roasted wild mushrooms, pecan crusted rainbow trout, creole gulf shrimp linguine or Kobe meatloaf.

I opted for the Thai Grains Salad with chicken.  This salad of freekeh, quinoa, red pepper, carrot, red onion, edamame, red cabbage, kale and pepitas was served with Thai peanut vinaigrette.  Absolutely wonderful.

My friends had tomato soup and split a sandwich, along with a side of fresh cut fruit.

As this tour of Oakland County restaurants continues, I am happy to add Beverly Hills Grill to the list.  They are located at 31471 Southfield Rd, Beverly Hills, MI 48025. Check them out online at https://beverlyhillsgrill.com/

Also, I’ll be on Jack Lessenberry’s radio show Monday morning, Jan. 14, 2019 at 10 am.  Tune into Superstation 910am to hear my squeaky voice talking about an important local news story.
