Ferndale’s Kulick Center Hosting SMART Recovery Meetings Beginning Jan. 5

Ferndale, MI – Coming in 2019 the Kulick Center will be hosting SMART meetings, every Saturday 9:30am-11am, beginning January 5th – February 23rd. All are welcome to attend!

SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is a science-based addiction recovery mutual support program. The topics discussed and tools learned in SMART meetings have a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.

SMART supports individuals who have chosen to abstain from any type of addictive behavior (substance use, activities, or both) by teaching them how to change self-defeating thinking, emotions, and actions while working towards long-term satisfaction and improve their quality of life.

SMART uses non-confrontational, motivational, behavioral, and cognitive methods to assist individuals who want to abstain from the use of addictive substances and problem behaviors. SMART Recovery can be used as the primary program of abstinence or in conjunction with other recovery methods (i.e., AA, NA, 12-step groups, Refuge Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, outpatient therapy, etc.).

SMART is open to anyone with the desire to remain abstinent from addictive substances and problem behavior. Visit smartrecovery.org to learn more.

Kulick Center is located at 1201 Livernois in Ferndale, MI.
