Novi Light Up the Night Nov. 30
Novi, MI- The City of Novi is excited to Light up the Night and celebrate the start of the holiday season! Light up the Night will take place at the Novi Civic Center on Friday, November 30, from 6-9 pm. Mayor Bob Gatt and a special visitor from the North Pole will light the holiday tree at 6:15 pm with fireworks starting promptly after (weather permitting).
In addition to the tree lighting and fireworks, Light Up the Night attendees will enjoy a craft bazaar; kids’ crafts and activities; family games; s’mores; petting farm; reindeer; train rides; and live entertainment on indoor and outdoor stages featuring Novi Youth Theatre Elf Jr. Cast, Mexico Lindo Ballet Folklorico, Hawaiian and Polynesian Dance, Novi Concert Band, Novi Middle School Orchestra, Novi Choraalaries and Detroit Tap Repertory. A variety of food trucks will have items available for purchase.
“It’s always a joy to see the Novi community engage in the season and holiday cheer at Light Up the Night. Each year we make enhancements to this annual family-favorite event. This year visiting Santa will be easier than ever. Families will be asked to check in at the Santa Workshop Desk and will be provided a ticket with a specific return time to see Santa,” said Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Director Jeff Muck.
Parking for the event will be available at the Novi Civic Center, Novi High School Ten Mile Road lot, Novi Public Library and Faith Community Presbyterian Church, across the street from the Novi Civic Center.
Light up the Night is supported by numerous Novi businesses including ITC, Community Financial Credit Union, Diversified Members Credit Union, Family Self Defense FIDOY, DTE, HAP, Novi Town Center, AirTime, Rosebrook Child Development Center, Aqua Tots and Sunbelt Rentals.
