Royal Oak Market Turns into Art Fair Nov. 15-16

ROYAL OAK, MI – The Guild of Artists & Artisans is proud to announce the Royal Oak Market: Art Fair Edition.  The final art fair of the season will take place indoors at the Royal Oak Farmers Market (316 E. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak, MI 48068) on Thursday, November 15th and Friday, November 16th from 12 PM – 10 PM each day, with free admission and parking.

The art fair will feature 65 juried artists and artisans from throughout the United States. Featured work will include ceramics, painting, photography, glass, jewelry, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and more media. This year’s featured artist is Kandy Myny, from Shelby Township, and her piece “Midnight Village”.

The event also includes food trucks, live music, wine, and craft beer. Close to the holidays, it presents a great opportunity to purchase a gift of fine art for the holidays.

New this year, The Guild has partnered with The Detroit Institute of Arts to bring DIA Away, a fully furnished, 53′ double-expandable trailer to the art fair, on Thursday, November 15. Inside, families and visitors of all ages will discover some of the ways to think more creatively and see the world as an artist through hands-on and digital stations geared to deepen and expand visitors perspectives.
