Jill Jack Sharing Tips & Insights for Aspiring Songwriters Nov. 13

FERNDALE, MI – Jill Jack is often seen on stages, under bright lights with substantial soundsystems, performing for large audiences at local festivals. But on Tue., Nov. 13, she’ll be at the Ferndale Library, unplugged and engaging with fellow songwriters of any skill level, for an exclusive free workshop. Jack’s class will be focusing on preliminary songwriting and involve group exercises. Online registration is required, as space is limited; those interested may also register over the phone by calling the Ferndale Library.

The award-winning local singer/songwriter will instruct attending songwriters on how she approaches her craft. No instruments will be required for this introductory-scaled course, but attendees should bring materials for note-taking. Jack’s interactive and visual presentation is designed to be inclusive and non-intimidating for all songwriters.

Jack is an accomplished and celebrated singer/songwriter based in Ferndale, MI. She has released 11 albums that range from soul to rock, to folk to country, adult contemporary to jazz and lullabies. She also runs her own label (Uphill Productions) and has more than 20 years’ experience as a vocalist/guitarist. This is a unique chance for local songwriters to get their questions answered and find a way to figure out how to craft their own ballads.
