Farmington Hills Police Investigating Fatal Shooting

Farmington Hills, MI – The Farmington Hills Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Retreat of Farmington Hills Apartments located on Twelve Mile Road west of Middlebelt.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:12 AM when officers responded to numerous 911 calls. Responding officers discovered two men shot who were taken to area hospitals where one has since died.  The second victim is expected to survive. Early investigations indicate the two men were shot from outside the apartment through a door wall.  The incident is not random and there are no reports of any other injured persons at the apartment complex.

Investigators are obtaining search warrants for the apartment and Evidence Technicians are processing the scene.  Anyone with information is asked to please call the Farmington Hills Police Command Desk at (248) 871-2610.
