Vehicle Flips on West Cambourne Street in Ferndale

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Oct. 12, 2018)

Ferndale, MI – Neighbors were surprised by the sound of a car striking a parked car on their street and flipping over.  It happened just before midnight Thursday on West Cambourne Street, a quarter mile north of 9 Mile Road, west of Woodward Avenue.

Neighbors rushed to help the woman in the car as they waited for police.  They say she appeared to have no major injuries, but her vehicle ended up overturned.

Dan Davis, who brought the woman a blanket, said the street can be problematic.  “Our street is a fire route. And since it has a light many people use it as a cut through street. As cars only park on one side of the street. And yes. People speed down it. And we have lots of little kids on our street,” he said.

The cause of the crash has not yet been released.  This story will be updated when more details are known.
