(Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Oct. 12, 2018)

Wolverine Lake, MI – Today, the suspect in the embezzlement case of Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner’s campaign funds has been arraigned.

On October 11th, a warrant was issued for Jennifer Iki Suidan by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for one count of Embezzlement – $100,000 or more, which is a 20 year felony. It is alleged Suidan embezzled approximately $150,000 of campaign funds from Treasurer Meisner during her tenure as his campaign fund treasurer.

Friday morning, Suidan along with her attorney turned herself in to 46th District Court. She was arraigned on the count of Embezzlement and was given a $25,000 personal bond by the magistrate.

She was booked into the Oakland County Jail, processed, and released. Suidan is a 34-year-old resident of Wolverine Lake. Her next court appearance will be on October 22, 2018, for a preliminary exam hearing at 8:30 am in front of the Honorable Judge Debra Nance of 46th District Court.

Editor’s Note: Suidan is currently the Democratic candidate for State Rep of the 39th District.
