Ferndale Police Present Training for Active Shooter Situations, Oct 3

FERNDALE, MI –  Ferndale Police Officers will present an overview training for civilians on how to respond to active shooter situations on Wed., Oct. 3, at 6:30 PM at the Ferndale Library. Attendees will learn what to do in an emergency and how to respond based on different kinds of buildings and environments.

Registration will be required, as seating is limited. At the end of the Officers’ presentation, there will be time for Q&A with the audience.

Concern for safety in public spaces is on the rise with a spate of shootings being reported in the news these last few years. This training session is to designed help everyone be more aware of how to respond in a variety of locations as well as reviewing the appropriate and quick actions to take for safety in the event of an emergency.

The training will be hosted in the Ferndale Library Community Room.
