Royal Oak Musicale featuring Mistral Winds Detroit Sept. 18

Royal Oak, MI- Royal Oak Musicale will open its 94th year of presenting music for the community and providing scholarship monies for high school students in the area who are planning to major in music in college or university. Our monthly concerts (September through May) are FREE and open to the public.

We present a variety of musical programs during the year. There is always a reception following the programs where the audience may meet the performers and enjoy some refreshments.

The first for the season is Tuesday, September 18,2018 at 1:00pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Royal Oak 814 N. Campbell Road, near Gardenia

Our first concert of the 2018-2019 years will feature an instrumental ensemble – MISTRAL WINDS DETROIT – a sextet of area musicians who perform with many of the orchestras in the area. The ensemble is made up of Catherine Sherwin, flute (Birmingham) Kerry Russo, oboe (Harper Woods) Linda Borushko, clarinet (Royal Oak) David Denniston, French horn (Auburn Hills) Jonathan Boyd, bassoon (Detroit) Doug Scott, piano (Grosse Ile) They will perform music by Gershwin, John Rutter, d’Indy and Poulenc.
