Ferndale Police Hosting Citizens Academy through October

Ferndale, MI- The Citizens Academy is an opportunity for residents and community members to get an inside look at the Ferndale Police Department. In the four-week course, citizens receive hands-on information about multiple aspects of police work and law enforcement, including patrol, investigation, SWAT, policy, philosophy, and operations.

The Academy is an annual month-long program taught by Ferndale police officers, judges, attorneys, and others.

The program runs throughout the month of October, every Thursday from 6 to 9:30 p.m. To take part, start by completing our online application for consideration.

The program is free and open to those who live, work, or worship in Ferndale.
