Bus Tour to See Underground Railroad History in Metro Detroit Sept 29
Pontiac, Orchard Lake, Walled Lake, Farmington and Detroit, MI – In conjunction with Oakland County Pioneer Historical Society, historian Willie W. Payne will conduct a tour of sites in Pontiac, Orchard Lake, Walled Lake, Farmington and Detroit used to harbor southern fugitive slaves escaping to Canad on the Undergound Railroad.
Departure is 9 am on Saturday, Sept. 29 from Oakland County Pioneer Historical Society, 405 Cesar E. Chavez Ave, Pontiac. The tour will be by coach bus with a capacity of 56 people.
