Go Comedy! Hosting City-Wide Scavenger Hunt for Charity July 21

Ferndale, MI –In honor of our 10th anniversary, Go Comedy! is hosting a crazy scavenger hunt that spans the entire City of Ferndale and we’re calling it SCAVEGANZA. Groups of 4 are welcome to signup for this madness. All proceeds will benefit these local charities:

Affirmations
The Catfe Lounge
DICo / Detroit Improv Festival
Ferndale High School Marching Band
Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit

Please fill out the form below to participate. Check/Cash/Credit. Payment of $80 is due by July 18. Checks made out to Go Comedy! Improv Theater. 100% of the proceeds will go to the selected charities & team t-shirts.

BUSINESS SPONSORS

We are looking for local businesses to offer their establishment as a stopping point along the way. Donations of gift cards, products, time, services, etc. to be used as the first place prize are welcome. Benefits to participate include:

-Social media shoutouts for participation day-of.

-Exposure across the City of Ferndale and local media.

WHEN/WHERE/HOW:

-July 21, 2018, 12-3pm is the hunt, 3-5pm is the after party. Rain or shine.

-Start time is 12pm SHARP! If you’re not there you’re already behind.

-We will gather in the Go Comedy! parking lot. 261 E Nine Mile Road, Ferndale.

-$80 per team of 4.

PRIZES

PRIZES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

FIRST PLACE: Each team member gets a 10-year pass + share a prize package worth A LOT of money from local businesses + Go Comedy t-shirts.

SECOND PLACE: Each team member will get two free tickets to any show + Go Comedy t-shirts.

THIRD PLACE: Go Comedy t-shirts and mad respect.

ALL OTHER TEAMS: All the respect + t-shirts.
THINGS TO KNOW/RULES TO PARTICIPATE:

-You need a group of four people. If you have less than four you may be at a disadvantage, but you can still participate.

-Any age may participate, but make sure your teammates are able to help you (you’ll need it). A knowledge of Ferndale will help, but not required.

-Some spots may be at local restaurants and bars that serve alcohol, but there is no requirement to drink as a part of the game.

-Teams may use cell phones, maps, and local residents for help.

-A knowledge of how to use a smartphone and social media (like Facebook or Instagram) will be VERY advantageous.

TRAVEL: Teams may use bicycles, rollerskates, wheelchairs, cars, motorcycles, segways, skateboards, or your feet, but you cannot have a hired driver (5th participant) or your team will be disqualified. If you’re going to park somewhere bring change.

5+ bonus points to the team that takes a photo of cheaters.

You have to finish all the requests to win. There may be side quests given at any point. These are not required, but can potentially earn you bonus points, as long as you know you have the time to complete.

BE SAFE: By signing up, you acknowledge that you will be safe, be smart, and Go Comedy! is not responsible for any injuries or calamities, parking tickets, and road violations.

There are no refunds if you decide not to participate day-of or quit during the hunt.
