Spring into Summer Craft Show for Holly Historical Society May 5

Holly, MI- The Holly Historical Society’s annual Spring into Summer Craft Show is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Karl Richter Community Center, 300 East Street in Holly. Exhibitors will showcase Michigan made products by local artists and crafters for unique Mother and Father’s Day gifts. There will be everything from indoor and outdoor decorative items, to organic personal care products and clothing accessories. The hours are 10-4 p.m. with admission at $2 and there is plenty of free parking and handicapped accessibility. This is a fundraising  event which puts together several nonprofits in the Holly community. A light lunch will be served by the Holly Calvary United Methodist Church from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m., for their “Mega Kids” curriculum which sponsors an afterschool program for grades K-5. Holly High School Senior Project Graduation will be selling delicious baked goods made by parents to benefit their all night party for graduating seniors.

The Holly Historical Society runs the Hadley House Museum, a restored 1873 Italianate wood structure at 306 South Saginaw Street in Holly. The building, sporting a new coat of paint, houses local artifacts and genealogy from northwest Oakland County. The private non-profit group receives no government funding and relies on donations and fundraising. “This has been an especially long, cold winter, with all its accompanying issues for an old building. It is great to be thinking spring and ahead to warmer weather. What better time to look for something handmade for your mom, dad, or special friend which is why this show is scheduled a week before Mother’s Day”, said event director, Susanne Les. “This is something that you can do together with family. There will be fresh blooms to cheer you up and for purchase.” For more information, call 248-634-5338.
