15 Pics from the Detroit Zoo (part 1)

(Crystal A. Proxmire, April 26, 2018)

Royal Oak, Huntington Woods, MI – Spring is a great time to visit the Detroit Zoo at 8450 W. 10 Mile Road in Royal Oak.  There are dozens of animals that call the zoo home, including giraffes, bears, lions, peacocks, frogs, kangaroos and many more.

The Arctic Circle exhibit allows people to walk though an underwater tunnel to see the polar bears and seals that live there.  The Polk Penguin Center is a more recent addition, offering visitors an up close look at a penguin’s paradise.

Here are 15 of our favorite photos from a recent visit.  Learn more about the Detroit Zoo at www.detroitzoo.org.  Check out other fun places in our EXPLORE section.
