Presentation on News, Social Media, Divisive Politics March 7

Southfield, MI –  How do journalists and publicists uphold the truth in these very troubling, divisive times? The Detroit Press Club and Southfield Public Library present a distinguished panel of journalists and media experts, including Matt Roush, Jennifer Cherry Foster, Eddie Allen and Ed Garsten. The panel will discuss the vast changes in readership and revenues, the unlimited power to disrupt and divide with Facebook, Google and Photoshop and how citizens can become more involved in their consumption of news. Moderating the panel will be Maureen McDonald, Program Vice President for the Detroit Press Club.
