Women Officials Network is hiring a part-time Administrator. Please see the job description below. 

Women Officials Network (WON) is seeking an individual to serve as a part time Administrator to assist the volunteer Board of Directors and its Standing and Ad Hoc Committees in the pursuit of its mission.

Required Skills:

-Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

-Superior organizational skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner

-Ability to manage WON Facebook page, Website, and PayPal

-Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

-Understand basic bookkeeping

-Ability to coordinate logistics of meetings and events

-Experience in working collaboratively with multiple partners

Preferred Experience Includes:       

-Volunteer experience (either as a volunteer or working with volunteers)

-Familiarity with non-profit administration

-Understanding of the election process and cycles

-Educational background that supports this work


Specific tasks will vary depending on the needs of the volunteers working on projects and committees throughout the year.  Assignments may include, but are not limited to:

-Researching information about elected officials

-Implementing recruitment strategies

-Maintaining database of members

-Seeking venues for events and coordinating other logistics

-Sending dues renewal notifications

-Sending communications through US Mail or eblast

-Assisting President in preparing materials for Board meetings

-Receive and record payments

-Assist Treasurer in maintaining monthly financial reports


The Administrator will carry out assignments as designated by the WON President

This is a contracted position and will be compensated at the rate of $20.00 per hour.

It is expected that the Administrator will work approximately 25 hours per month or 75 hours per quarter.

The Administrator is responsible for assisting the Women Officials Network Board in all aspects of its operation.  This includes assisting subcommittees and ad hoc committees as necessary.  This also includes assisting the Women Officials Network Foundation, especially with prep for the Annual Wonder Woman Dinner.  Examples of specific responsibilities are described below.  These responsibilities may vary from time to time and are often dependent on interest and skills of members of the Board and its subcommittees.



-Reserve room

-Assist President with agenda prep

-Send meeting materials

-Set up/Attend meeting

-Track actions to be taken

-Receive and record payments

-Assist Treasurer in maintaining monthly financial reports


-Assist with logistics when requested by Committee Chairs


-Assist Committee with task of preparing slate (understanding by-laws, members in good standing etc.)


-Reserve room

-Order breakfast and confirm numbers

-Room set up/break down

-Arrange video recording

-Send notifications

-Set up and staff Welcome/Registration Table (name tags, collect money, etc.)

-Assist President with agenda/speaker bio etc.

-Create feedback form


-Maintain/update website and Facebook page

-Answer questions or direct to appropriate Board member


-Assist with logistics as requested

Examples: research potential members; create on line directory; special networking meetings


-Assist with prep for Board Meetings

-Assist with logistics of Wonder Woman Dinner

Examples: invitations; collect registrations; track event sponsors; set up/tear down events
