Reporter Food:  Chicken Bacon Avocado Sandwich from Davisburg Bread

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Dec. 9, 2017)

Holly, MI – We’re very excited to have added Davisburg Bread as an advertiser at Oakland County Times. They opened earlier this year in Downtown Holly at 204 S. Saginaw and they’ve been delighting the community with high-quality creative sandwich options as well as delicious baked goods.

I met with Holly Township Supervisor George Kullis there recently to talk about updates to the Hawley Barn project.

Supervisor Kullis had the Cranberry Turkey sandwich which had cranberry chutney, spinach, roasted turkey breast, and chive cream cheese.

And I went for the Chicken Bacon Avocado which was so very wonderful.  The braised chicken was prepared well, along with thick cut bacon and garlic lime avocado bread, tomato and shaved red onion.

It was a great lunch and I learned a lot about the Hawley Barn, a project that is evolving into the Holly Heritage Farmstead.  Read more about that here.

There are many great sandwich choices, all make with fresh-baked bread. And if you have a sweet tooth there are scones and other pastries.  Whether you’re looking for a yummy meal in a comfy atmosphere, or a fresh baked loaf of bread with high quality ingredients, Davisburg Bread is a wonderful Downtown Holly option.
