Firefighters Put Out Blaze on Hazelhurst in Ferndale

Ferndale, MI  – Firefighters from Ferndale, Royal Oak, Hazel Park and Madison Heights teamed up to extinguish a house fire in the 500 block of W. Hazelhurst in Ferndale Monday morning.  At about 11:30 am smoke was seen coming from the home.

Firefighters used a chain saw to cut a hole in the roof to gain access to the second story of the home.  Allen Road and W. Hazelhurst were blocked as the first responders worked.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and there are no reported injuries.
