Small Business Saturday Nov. 25: Royal Oak

(Downtown Royal Oak, Nov. 22, 2017)

Royal Oak, MI – The Downtown Development Authority is promoting Small Business Saturday and shining a spotlight on all the entrepreneurs that make our downtown vibrant and unique. For this year’s Small Business Saturday, we are aiming to boost pedestrian traffic, increase sales at local independent stores, and promote the Downtown.

Canvas Shopping Totes
The DDA has purchased 1000 Royal Oak-themed canvas shopping totes, which will be distributed to small business retailers. Customers who make purchases of $25 or more on November 25th at participating stores will receive a tote.
Each tote will be stuffed with several items, including coupons to Gayle’s Chocolate, Emagine Theater, a free Royal Oak holiday ornament, and a mystery gift which ranges from tickets to the Royal Oak Music Theatre, the Detroit Zoo, or gift cards to our local restaurants.
Totes will continue to be distributed throughout the week until the supply is exhausted.
Participating retailers will be included on wayfinding maps that will be distributed for a week before Small Business Saturday at local restaurants.
