Small Business Saturday Nov. 25: Holly

Holly, MI – SHOP SMALL  is a an opportunity to drive business to your business.  It kicks off on Saturday, November 25th.  Last year’s Oakland County Small Business Saturday Contest was a great success, with over 220 small businesses registering, and 1000 contest entries. The end result was an economic impact of $60,000!

Holly businesses are ready. You can make purchases at local retailers, restaurants and other small businesses including Holly Antiques, Davisburg Bread, Blumz, Andy’s Place, Holly Hotel and more!

The Detroit Model Railroad Club will also be open for visitors to check out the largest O-Scale model railroad in Michigan. And it is the start of the Holly Dickens Festival.  The streets will be filled with Victorian Era characters, games and events!

This year’s contest will begin on November 25th, 2017, but instead of one day, the contest will be held for the entire week!  This means customers will have a chance to win prizes for receipt uploads from November 25th to December 2nd just by shopping at small businesses.  The Shop Small Oakland County Contest helps Oakland County’s local economy thrive.  Oakland County holds this annual contest in conjunction with American Express’ national campaign.

All Oakland County small businesses that register are automatically entered to win $1,000, thanks to CEED Lending. Registered businesses also show up on a Business Map that makes it easier for shoppers to find them and any of their special incentives. If you are registered, be sure to point customers to the Business Map so they can discover your incentives and  to register your business.  Just go to the Oakland County website.  You could win $1000.  Your Customers just need to text or upload their receipt to be entered to win prizes, as well.
