Bloomfield Hills Public Safety Open House Sept. 17
Bloomfield Hills, MI – This spectacular event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 17th at the City Hall Complex, located at 45 E. Long Lake Rd. in Bloomfield Hills. There will be food, activities and safety demonstrations for all ages. A 50-50 raffle will be held with all proceeds going to benefit the Great Lakes Burn Camp.
With a focus on public safety, the Open House will feature interactive and entertaining activities for all ages. Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) Kids Fingerprinting will offer free CD-ROMs of kids’ fingerprints, digital photographs and descriptions for parents. Children will be able to enjoy face painting, Daisy the Clown, Stan Safety the Magical Fireman, a photo booth and even try your hand a using a real fire hose!
Taste of Bloomfield Hills, featuring local eateries will offer a variety of food for residents to enjoy with ice cream, cotton candy, cupcake decorating and beverages.
Special attractions will include: Michigan State Police K-9 demonstration, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Mobile Command and Tactical Response vehicles, a rock climbing wall, station tours including the gun range as well as our fire trucks and police cars will be on display. Public Safety Department members and City staff will also be in attendance to answer any questions.
Medical Students from the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine will be on hand to promote pediatric well-being through fun and interactive activities.
Signs designating free parking at surrounding area businesses will be posted. The Department looks forward to interacting with the community in a positive way and we look forward to seeing you there!
