Hazel Park Art Fair Aug. 26-27

The Hazel Park Arts Council is excited to announce the 6th Annual Hazel Park Art Fair at Green Acres Park!

Saturday, August 26th: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday, August 27th: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The goal of the Hazel Park Arts Council is to bring art, in all its forms, to the community, and make art accessible to everyone. By showcasing local talent, art fairs like this benefit our community, as well as its many local nonprofit efforts. The 2017 Art Fair will feature local artists, musicians, a children’s art area, live drawing classes, and performance art.

The music line up for HPAF includes some of the hottest local and regional performers that have fired up audiences at related events over the past few years.

Sunday, August 27th
12:30 Marshall Brooks – solo acoustic rock
1:15 Sami Mei – solo keyboard pop
2:00 The Invincible Man – indie/rock
3:00 Two Cheers – new wave/ rock
4:00 Big Donut – alternative/country/indie
5:00 CHAW – roots/folk/rock/indie
6:00 Cabin 7 – ska/punk/horns

Pavilion A will include live figure drawing from a weekly Tuesday session called “See What Stacey Started” hosted by Brian “Weird Artist” Lewandowski. There will be tables and chairs provided for your sketching convenience. Models will pose in costume for a period of 2 minute gestures to 20 minute sketches. There will be extra supplies available. Please tip the model if you are sketching.

Pavilion B will include kids arts and crafts in collaboration with MICHAELS. Saturday, August 26th is Masking Tape Canvas Painting and Sunday, August 27th is Slime Sunday!
