Seniors Displaced after Fire at West Manor Apartments in Pontiac

Pontiac, MI  – Dozens of residents escaped a fire Saturday evening at West Manor Apartments on Paddock Street in Pontiac.  The 40-unit building went up in flames as firefighters and neighbors helped pull people from the smoky building.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, but various reports say there were no fatalities.

The Red Cross, Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club and other organizations have been working along with city officials to make sure that residents were moved to safe spaces last night.
