Ferndale, MI It’s official!! The City of Ferndale is excited to announce that the 2017 ‘Clean the Ferndale Up!’ will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 with this year’s Pep-Rally Kick-off at the Ferndale City Hall.

Community and business groups are encouraged to join the fun!!

This year’s community projects will include sprucing and cleaning residential homes of the homebound, along with have volunteers spending their morning sprucing, mulching and planting flowers at the Veteran’s Memorial and Ferndale City Hall to beautify the areas.

EVENT DETAILS:
When: Saturday, May 20, 2017
Check-In and Pep Rally Kick-Off: Ferndale City Hall, 300 E. 9 Mile Rd.
Volunteers Check-in: 8:00 am to 8:45 am.; and Pep Rally Kick-Off: 8:45 am to 9:00 am
Projects: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Appreciation Picnic: 12:00 pm to 1:00pm Serving soda pop and hot dogs at the Ferndale City Hall.
Attire: Gardening attire (t-shirt, blue jeans, boots or sneakers).
What to Bring: Gardening gloves. Rake or shovel.
Wear sunscreen and bring water.

RECYCLING DROP-OFF STATION
The City of Ferndale’s Department of Public Works (DPW) and SOCRRA (Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority) will once again set-up a one-day-temporary ‘Recycling Drop-Off Station’ to recover recyclable items from Ferndale residents and businesses.
The drop-off station will be located in the Ferndale City Hall Municipal Parking Lot (#11) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
