BIRMINGHAM, MI,—The Junior League of Birmingham, MI, Inc. invites you to: Night at the Races on Saturday, April 29th, 2017.

The evening begins at 6:00 PM and will feature heavy appetizers and desserts, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, a champagne toast, cash bar, raffle, cigar bar, music and games.

Kentucky Derby-style cocktail attire and hats are strongly encouraged, and festivities will take place at the Heathers Club of Bloomfield, 900 Upper Scotsborough Way, Bloomfield Hills MI 48304.

“The Junior League has become one of the oldest, largest, and most effective women’s volunteer organizations in the world, encompassing more than 150,000 women in 291 Leagues in four countries. We are in the midst of organizational transformation, taking bold steps today to ensure the long-term health, liveliness and sustainability of The Junior League for years to come. As an organization that’s contributed to the evolution of women as leaders and to significant community improvement in Birmingham since 1952, our success is critical to the health of our local community. In today’s society, our members are confronting our communities’ most critical issues—human trafficking, foster care, and childhood health and wellness, for the purpose of enhancing the social, cultural and political framework of our society. I hope you, our community, is able to come and support us and our mission at this event.” said Nikki Braddock, President, Junior League of Birmingham.

The Spring Fundraiser is the largest fundraising effort for the Junior League of Birmingham, Michigan, Inc. This event supports the League’s mission and the impact it makes in the community through partner agencies and League programming. We partner with reputable organizations such as Care House, Common Ground, and Judson Center in our community initiatives. We continually champion our efforts with Junior Leagues’ own Kids in the Kitchen teaching elementary school age children the importance of health and wellness.

In recent years, the Junior League has also worked to raise awareness of human trafficking and reform for foster care legislation. Tickets are available for $60.00 and available for purchase by visiting www.jlbham.org/estore
