Oak Park, MI – From the time Abram Jacobson opened his first Jacobson’s Store in Reed City, Michigan in 1968 until its last 18 stores closed in bankruptcy in 2002, “Jake’s” was known as an elegant, regional department chain which provided a sophisticated social, shopping and dining destination to upscale shoppers. Join historian Bruce Kopytek as he reveals the secrets behind why Jake’s charm and allure is so profoundly missed by those who once shopped Jacobson’s in its day.
