Jim and Jodie Ellison Talk about Political Journey (video)

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Dec. 23, 2016)

Royal Oak, MI – Lovebirds and partners in politics Jim and Jodie Ellison are adjusting to the change of Jim’s role as Mayor to that of State Representative. Jim now gets to represent the residents of Royal Oak and those of Madison Heights.  He also gets a longer commute as he spends more time in Lansing.

The Ellisons sat down for an interview with oc115 about the change.  Jim talked about what he’ll miss about being Mayor, what changes have happened in the community in the years he has been involved, and who he plans to get advice from as he learns the ropes in Lansing.

He and Jodie shared their advice for Royal Oak’s next first couple, Mike and Nikki Fournier. They also talked about how to encourage the next generation to be active in the political process.

Check out the video below to hear what the Ellisons had to say.
