Birmingham, MI — The Junior League of Birmingham, Michigan, Inc. invites you to join in on the perfect fun-filled family afternoon. The 23nd annual Pumpkin Patch will be held on Sunday, October 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the terrace of The Community House in downtown Birmingham.

Halloween and autumn inspired activities include batty bounce houses, healthy harvest nut-free snack stations, creepy crafting, a Pumpkin Patch photo station and goofy games for children of all ages.  All attendees are encouraged to wear their costumes and enjoy the day with family and friends. The event is free and open to all ages.

Attendees are also cordially invited to march in the 80h annual Birmingham Halloween DDAnew01Parade sponsored by the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce. The parade begins at 4 p.m. at the corner of Bates Street and Martin Street.

“Pumpkin Patch is a free event, open to the public, and a thank you to all who support the mission of the League. The Junior League boasts a legacy of empowered leadership over the last century, and is respected for the life-changing work fulfilled around the world.  We are the premier source for civic leadership training and development opportunities for women who want to bring about lasting and meaningful change in their communities. Our focus includes childhood health and wellness, which also encompasses human trafficking and foster care awareness initiatives.” said Nikki Braddock, President, Junior League of Birmingham. Each year, the average American eats 25 pounds of candy, much of which is consumed during Halloween.  Pumpkin Patch gives children and their families a fun, active environment with SaharaNEW02games and crafts, as well as a respite from sugary candy with delicious, healthier refreshments.  It’s unlike any other Halloween party!  The goal is that Pumpkin Patch will help kids and parents alike take steps towards thinking about healthy (and fun) eating year-round.
