Two Women Killed in Oak Park

Oak Park, Michigan –  Two females are deceased and one male is in custody after Oak Park Safety Officers were dispatched to the 21000 block of Church Street in Oak Park, Mich., on Wednesday, September 14. The Oak Park Public Safety Department does not believe the public is in any further danger.
On Wednesday, September 14 at approximately 7 p.m., Oak Park Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the 21000 block of Church Street on a report that two victims were shot. Upon arrival, the Officers found two deceased individuals. While some officers were investigating the scene, the suspect walked into the Oak Park Public Safety Department lobby and turned himself into custody.
No further details are available at this time while the matter is under full investigation.  Out of courtesy to the parties involved, we kindly ask that the public and the media refrain from publishing the names of the deceased, if known, until family and friends can be properly notified.  Our thoughts and condolences to the family and friends of all parties involved.
