Ferndale, MI – My biggest wish after having the Smoked Yard Bird Au Gratin Soup at Dino’s Lounge in Downtown Ferndale, is that the owner keeps this item on the menu year round, or at least though the chilly months that are ahead.

Dino’s Lounge has a solid menu of favorites, along with specials that get changed every couple months or so.  The Smoked Yard Bird Au Gratin Soup and The Wedge salad are both on the summertime Dream Cruise Menu which should run until the end of the month at least.

dinos02sidelogo3This soup is amazing.  It’s made of smoked chicken with veggies topped with croutons and baked with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.  It’s got just the right mix of ingredients to give a hungry reporter energy for covering the big stories.

The Wedge is also wonderful and somewhat healthy.  This is a wedge of fresh iceberg lettuce topped with chopped bacon, grape tomato, red onion, crumbled blue cheese and ranch dressing.

I love Dino’s. They are a great sponsor for oc115.com, and they have great food and are active in the community.
