Perkins is a former military police officer who currently owns a painting company.

He said that he enjoys living in Holly because “It’s great.  It’s just a quiet small town.  Look around.  It’s quiet, it’s peaceful.  We can go for walks.  We’ve got walking trails all back through here, numerous parks to offer. And it’s just a quiet, humble small town.”

blumz01When asked why he is running for Village Council President, Perkins said “I’m at that point in my life that I’d like to put my hand in the race and see if I can try to make a difference.”

In his interview with oc115, Perkins talked about wanting to keep police service local and his disappointment in the decision to have Oakland County handle dispatch services.  He also talked about disappointment in the bike lanes, the need for cooperation among groups and the national debt.
