Woman Murdered in Ferndale, Apparent Killer Dead of Suicide

        On 08/21/16, a Murder suicide occurred in Ferndale and Hazel Park. At about 4:55 a.m. Ferndale Police responded to a home on West Marshall street. The police department received a phone call from the family member of a Hazel Park man who left them a phone message stating that he had strangled and killed a woman acquaintance at her home on Marshall. He also said that he ingested a large quantity of drugs in order to commit suicide.

Police responded to the Marshall address and found a 39-year-old woman dead in the back yard. Officers then went to the home of MATTHEW AARON BUSH in Hazel Park. When they arrived, they found that he was dead from an apparent overdose of drugs.

Police are continuing the investigation to confirm the causes of death.
