UPDATE: Sunday at 5pm MSP released the following statement: “The Michigan State Police is continuing to investigate the homicide that took place last night in Rose Township.  We are currently asking the publics assistance in locating anyone who may have seen a white or light colored four door sedan that was on Fish Lake Road between 2 and 3 PM yesterday. It is believed the vehicle may have been acting suspicious or traveling at a high rate of speed. Anyone with information about this vehicle are asked to contact State Police.”

UPDATE: Monday, Aug. 1 – Officials have identified the victim as Alexandra Nicollette Brueger, according to the Oakland Press.  Brueger was working towards a graduate degree in creative writing and was a registered nurse at Providence Park Hospital.  Police still do not have a suspect or a motive.
