Cuttner and Regina Brim.  The Republican Primary is Aug. 2.  The winner of that race will face Democratic incumbent Nancy Quarles on the Nov. 8 ballot.  The 17th County Commission district includes Southfield, Lathrup Village and Oak Park.

j and d adCuttner is an attorney with a background in law enforcement and a Vietnam veteran who served with the military police.

When asked why he is running, Cuttner said “I’m basically disgusted with both political organizations and I just think we need to get some people that are down to earth in politics, and that’s why I’m running.”

In his interview with oc115, Cuttner talked about his law enforcement and military police background, as well as his law practice doing social security, disability and workman’s comp cases.  His vision would be to consolidate police services among communities.  He talked about backing down on social issues and focusing on fiscal values, budget and the military.
