Part time ACA Marketplace Insurance Exchange/Healthy Michigan Coordinator

Metro Health Foundation “Continuity of Services for FernCare’s Patients” grant

June 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017


6-8 hours per week to coordinate and assist the enrollment of FernCare Jacks Adpatients into either the ACA

Insurance Exchange or Healthy Michigan/Medicaid insurance program. The hours will include some

Thursday evenings.




  1. Either have Navigator or CAC certification for the ACA Marketplace or be willing to get the


  1. Michigan Dept. of Community Health Healthy Michigan/Medicaid certification
  1. Demonstrate the ability to explain both health care programs, options and benefits
  1. Social work or benefits experienceDDAnew01
  1. MicroSoft Word and Excel competency
  1. Can work evenings
  1. Transportation


Job Expectations


  1. Will keep an accurate accounting of patients with and without and in process of gaining health



  1. Will coordinate other volunteers who are assisting sign up enrollment
  1. Will notify patients of up-coming special enrollment assist days/evenings
  1. Will prepare a monthly written report for the Board of Directors with patient health insurance

  1. Will write both a 6 month grant status report and a final grant status report for Metro Health

Foundation and the FernCare Board of Directors


  1. The Coordinator will report to the Clinic Manager


This is an at-will position.
