FERNDALE, MI – Ferndale Area District Library is hosting a special workshop on Jul. 27 designed to teach parents how to raise a financially literate child. There’s an endless amount of lessons new parents teach their children, but sometimes the minutiae of how money works and how to manage it might be put on the back burner during the elementary school years.

Anthony Kasperek is the founder of Dig Wealth, a local independent company on a mission to empower individuals with the knowledge to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources. When Kasperek presents his workshop at the Ferndale Library, he intends to teach parents an easy and fun way to get their children excited about the rewards and baby modern natural 03opportunities of becoming financially responsible from a young age.

Kasperek is a Ferndale-based father of two young girls and he intends to share examples of teaching techniques he’s used in his household. He’ll introduce his concept of “Let The Kid’s Run The House,” which should provide mutual enlightenment both to parent and child; girding the young one’s understanding while demonstrating how well they appreciate why mom and dad are always working so much.

Kasperek more than five  years’ experience working for corporate companies in the financial industry but decided to leave the corporate sector and start Dig Wealth, which he said he has designed to be a “holistic financial services company.” garden16_helaine_zack
