This groundbreaking launched an inaugural home design with Lawrence Technological University’s (LTU) College of Architecture and Design.  Graduate students in LTU’s Master of Architecture program have been working with Habitat Oakland County team for two years through a new curriculum-based program to build more energy efficient homes.  The goal is to achieve decreased monthly energy costs for Habitat Oakland County candlewickshoppeADbluehomeowners.  “Students and faculty have spent four semesters researching Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County’s building process and how we might use more contemporary construction processes and materials to produce homes that are more affordable, sustainable and efficient,” says Scott Shall, LTU’s Interim Associate Dean, College Of Architecture And Design.
