Person Fatally Struck by Train in Royal Oak

POLICE: Amtrak Train Pedestrian Accident
On Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 5:50 a.m., officers responded to an accident involving a southbound Amtrak Train and a pedestrian. Officers located a deceased subject on the railroad tracks near Catalpa.
The Royal Oak Police Criminal Investigation Division in conjunction with Oakland County Sheriff accident investigators and CN Railroad Police are investigating the incident. No further information will be released until the individual is identified and the family is notified.
Catalpa will remain closed at Maxwell until the investigation is completed.
