SAGE and AARP Host Safe Document Shredding Day in Ferndale and RO May 21  Royal Oak, MI – AARP is hosting a paper shredding day on May 21 with a location in Ferndale and one in Royal Oak. SAGE (Services and Advocacy for LGBT Elders) is volunteering at both locations.

Identity theft is one of the fastest growing white-collar crimes in the United States. That’s why AARP Michigan is inviting you to bring old documents containing personal information to our mobile shredding truck for disposal. Only paper will be accepted for shredding.

In addition to documents containing account numbers, passwords, birth dates and Social Security numbers, don’t forget items such as account statements, bank statements, ATM Chazzano03receipts, canceled checks, credit card bills, pre-approved credit card offers, receipts and utility bills for FREE and SECURE shredding. Join AARP’s Fraud Watch Network as we work together to fight fraud!

There is no registration required for these shred events. We hope to see you there!
