The Planning & Zoning Essentials Workshop topics include legal foundations of planning and zoning; board and commission structure, roles and responsibilities; master plan and zoning ordinance essentials; variance standards and effective decision-making. The workshop instructor is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
The March session is ideal for:
• Planning Commissioners
• Zoning Board of Appeals
• Municipal staff
• Elected officials
This workshop is offered as part of Oakland County’s One Stop Ready (OSR) Training Program. This economic development program for communities is built upon self-evaluation, information sharing and outstanding customer service through continuous improvement.
