WHAT IT IS:
Ferndale High School and CASA student artists compete to have their artwork converted into public art. The three top scoring students will be eligible for a $500 scholarship.  

Six students’ work will be selected to be enlarged, reproduced, and mounted on buildings in Ferndale, Michigan.

Judy_Palmer30yearsThe Artist In You  is a collaboration between the Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce, Ferndale Arts and Cultural Commission , Ferndale Public Schools with support from the Ferndale Area District Library . Additional sponsorship is provided by Detroit Art and Business Institute.

The Artist in You program expands in its second year, to include a six week student art exhibition at the Ferndale Area District Library. Participating students will also receive a special art marketing workshop with Andrea Rosenfeld of Detroit Art and Business Institute.

WHY
This project provides high school students with a unique opportunity to exhibit, market, and gain exposure for their creative work at a formative age.
Artist in You contributes to the vibrant creative landscape of Ferndale, MI, with these big, royal_servicesbright reproductions of student art.

WHAT IS NEEDED
$5,000 is needed for the cost of reproducing the student artworks into large, glossy signs, as well as for the installation fees, and the scholarships.

By supporting this project, you are supporting student art in the community, as well as furthering art education.

If we don’t reach our goal of $5,000, funds will still go towards the Artist in You student exhibition at the Ferndale Area District Library, as well as the Artist in You scholarship HowesLocationprogram.

THE IMPACT
Your contribution goes towards funding the celebration of student art, public art in the community of Ferndale, and the education of young artists.
