Bomb Threat Puts Clarkston High on Lock-down

Clarkston, MI – FROM DAY SHIFT: 01-12-2016, 07:00 hrs.
THROUGH MIDNIGHT SHIFT: 01-13-2016, 07:00 hrs.
INCIDENT: 08:10 hrs. – Independence Township – Bomb Threat #16-6318
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the Clarkston High School located on the 6000 block of Flemings Lake Road in Independence Township for a bomb threat called into the school by an unidentified male caller. School officials placed the school in lockdown until the threat could be assessed. K-9 bomb dogs were called to the scene to search the school for any devices/explosives. K-9’s from OCSO, West Bloomfield, Southfield, and Macomb County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and conducted a search of the school and no devices or explosives were located.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The school was cleared and school officials removed the lockdown status. The school resumed classes without further incident. The investigation continues at this time.
