Last month Hip In Detroit kicked off their new series of events called Detroit Unplugged. This endeavor features some of Detroit’s best bands playing completely unplugged. No amps, no reverb, no electronics. Just a band, their instruments, and a room full of people. The first time around, we invited The HandGrenades out, which proved to be the perfect band to kick things off. Check out some photos and video from that night here and on InkAddict’s blog here.

We are excited to announce our next installment of Detroit Unplugged will feature Her Dark Host. This event will be taking place on Monday, November 30th at 8 p.m. inside the GT ad 03InkAddict Flagship, right on the edge of Detroit, in Ferndale, MI. Her Dark Host is a five piece dark hard rock band featuring Justin Felix, Joshua Felix, Kyle Davis, Austin Ahmad and Nathan Miller. To hear a sample of their music, head over to

Hip In Detroit has once again teamed up with Michigan based lifestyle clothing brand InkAddict and Blumz by JR Designs for this event. This will be an evening of music like Detroit has never seen before! The InkAddict Flagship is already an amazing space, but once Blumz works their magic with flowers and candles, it will be transformed into the perfect setting for this event.

The InkAddict Flagship is located at 22007 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, MI 48220. Admission to this event is only $2. Doors will open at 8 p.m. with music beginning shortly after.

Please see the attached documents for the official flyer (Created by: John Sippel), logos, Pledge_side_bluephotos of Her Dark Host, and a photo of Sadie Quagliotto and Christie Laabs from Hip In Detroit . You can stay up to date on this event by visiting the Facebook event page here.
