The Oakland County’s One Stop Shop Business Center is getting ready for another business month with their October workshops. Start-up entrepreneurs and business professionals can succeed with help from other professionals and experts. Register today for one, or all, of the  workshops and get your business on the right track.

Starting A Business
Thursday, October 8, 2015 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Fee: This workshop is free but pre-registration is required.

This workshop is designed for individuals who are at the beginning stages of starting a CFSEM-123-OaklandCounty115-digital-ad_v2business. It will help aspiring entrepreneurs assess their abilities to lead and manage a company, as well as evaluate market and sales potential for their products/services. Start-up costs, financing options, and business planning are introduced, along with necessary steps to getting started.

Introduction to QuickBooks®
Tuesday, October 13, 2016 9 a.m. – 1p.m.

Fee: $60 per person, pre-registration is requested.

This introduction class will provide an overview of QuickBooks®. We will cover the basic areas within QuickBooks® so that you can generate financial statements.

CEED® Small Business Loan Orientation – Waterford

Individuals who want to launch a business but don’t know where to begin can receive confidential, one-on-one advice from an experienced business consultant. Counselors will answer start-up questions, suggest next steps and guidance on business planning tools. Walk-in sessions available on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to 15 minutes.
