mbrew brought to you by top adPleasant Ridge RecyclingChamberAd_showcase and Shredding Fair Sept. 26
Saturday, September 26
1:00-5:00 pm
At: Pleasant Ridge DPW, 92 Amherst, Pleasant Ridge (east of Woodward, S. of I-696)
Enter from Amherst, Exit via Maywood.
We will be collecting Electronics, Metal, Gently used clothing, books and household items and paper for shredding (paperclips removed), 2-3 grocery bags per family.
Jay Foreman added:  “This is a jam-packed first recycling event put on by the PR Environmental Committee. Please start collecting your items in advance and bring everything you can for recycling on Sunday 9/26 between 1-5pm! Use DPW entrance at the end of Amherst (not Maywood).

The great thing about this event is that not only will ELECTRONICS (old computer, DVD player, keyboard, remote, etc.) be accepted for recycling but also METAL ITEMS. Anything that is mostly metal should be fine. An old bike, a shovel, rusty steel shelving, old gutters, you name it. If you can get it there safely it should be accepted for processing by SOCRRA. Of course, also the shredder will be on hand, Ridge Resale will be there to collect clothing and home decor items, books will be collected and donated to HW Public Library and PR lending libraries.

And finally, there will be a RAIN BARREL sale and workshop, from MI Rain Barrel. And composting information.

The idea is that this could be an annual event that we can all plan for every year, but strong participation is key if we want to see this type of thing offered again. Hope to see you there!”
