A beautiful summer weekend doing activities with neighbors.

That’s what Oak Park residents and guests got to enjoy at the community’s annual Summerfest.  On Saturday children burned off energy running and playing in the bounce houses and aiming for the top of the rock climbing wall.

Parents checked Pledge_side_blueout tables with stuff to buy and organizations to support.  Summerfest held Oak Park’s first ever beer tent, with volunteers from Camp Casey pouring the brews.  Several Oak Park restaurants like Sahara and and Tai Fai had tables with food for sale. Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren brought animals in need of good homes.  And of course Summerfest would not be complete without a variety of bands and performances on the stage.

The celebration goes through Sunday evening.  Learn more at www.oakparksummerfest.com.
