Keith Logsdon Appointed to
Berkley School Board
(Berkley Schools Press Release, July 16, 2015)
The Berkley School District extends a warm welcome to Mr. Keith Logsdon, newly appointed School Board Member. After extensive interviews with five candidates and lengthy discussion by the current School Board, Mr. Logsdon was selected as the new School Board Trustee at the July 2015 Board of Education Special Meeting. Mr. Logsdon is an architect and a 15-year resident of Berkley. He has been active in the School District, involved on many committees including the Vision 2020 strategic plan and on the interview teams for hiring both the District’s architect and construction management firms for the 2015 Bond Initiative. Mr. Logsdon has one child who graduated from Berkley High with the class of 2015 and another child in the District.
Mary Jo Israel, School Board President, said, “The Board is pleased to welcome Keith to the Board of Education. His background as an architect and his commitment to the Berkley School District will certainly be an asset to the Board and the Berkley Schools.”
Keith Logsdon said, “I am honored to have been selected as a Trustee of the Berkley School Board from amongst a highly qualified group of candidates. I look forward to working with such a talented and dedicated Board and administration for the benefit of the District.”
The Board position became vacant with the passing of Trustee Paul Ellison on June 24, 2015, following his courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Logsdon will serve until December 31, 2016, and will have the option to run in the next general election in November 2016.
