(City of Ferndale Press Release, July 5, 2015)

The City of Ferndale and the Downtown Development Authority are pleased to announce Dog Days of Summer Free Parking Mondays, July 6 through Labor Day. Residents and visitors will enjoy totally free parking in all City lots every Monday through the end of summer.

“We think this will provide a real benefit to residents, visitors, and business owners,” said Joseph Gacioch, Chief Innovation Officer for the City of Ferndale. “It offers a relief from parking HowesLocationfees and encourages people to visit our businesses on a day that is traditionally slower during the summer.”

Dog Days of Summer Free Parking Mondays are open to all, and it’s easy to take part:

  1. Park in any City lot (street/meter parking is not included in the promotion) on Mondays, July 6 through Labor Day.
  2. Enter the promotion code 1918 at your nearest parking payment kiosk. You’ll receive a free all-day parking session.
  3. Enjoy your time in Ferndale!

All parking payment kiosks in City lots have been outfitted with stickers to instruct users about how to use the promotion code. Parking ambassadors will also be on hand in several of the lots to inform people about the promotion and assist them with using the kiosks.
