INCIDENT: 23:27 hrs. – June 16 – City of Pontiac – Armed Robbery #15-93328

SUMMARY: Deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of University Dr. (Citgo Gas Station), in Auburn Hills, regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred in the City of Pontiac. The victim stated that he placed his designer Cartier glasses for sale on Facebook and reported that he had received a message from the suspect who expressed interest in purchasing the glasses. An arrangement was made to meet the suspect in the area of Bay Street and University Drive. When gardenfreshADthe victim arrived at the location, the suspect walked to the passenger side of his vehicle and got in. The suspect began to inspect the glasses. The suspect then produced a .40 cal. handgun and ordered the victim to “empty his pockets”. The victim stated that he did not have any cash on his person at the time of the incident. Taken from the victim were the Cartier glasses, and his I-Phone 5. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled in an early 2000 black Monte Carlo.

OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Deputies made several attempts to track the phone, through Apple’s “find my phone” app, but were unsuccessful. The phone appeared to have been turned off by thecandlewickshoppeADblue suspect. A BOL was placed to alert local police agencies and an area check was conducted, which yielded negative results.

VICTIM INFORMATION: 20 year old male; resident of the City of Howell, MI

SUSPECT INFORMATION: Black male, 6’- 6’1”, 180 lbs. with a short hair. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants.
